Hi Everyone – Patchy is continuing to recover nicely though the stumbles are so hard to watch, he definitely has gotten is sparkle back to some degree as he is on guard again barking at “strangers” that drive by.
I need to learn not to panic when he stumbles but it is very hard not to worry about him hurting himself.
Attached is a picture of him resting with a cookie snack 🙂 Have a great day Everyone – Summer
Around my house you wouldn’t dare close your eyes with a cookie laying around!
So glad to hear that there is sparkle!

LOL I know right, we have 3 other dogs but they have been really good at giving him space, he also is a little grumbly when he has a cookie 🙂
Seeing sparkle come.back bit by bit and normal routines return are so heartwarming. And it gets better and better!!
The stumbling bothers the humans far more than the dogs. They just go “oops” and get on with it!
I know recovery seems like it will last forever, especially for larger dogs, but it doesn’t!
If you look where Patch was the first couple of days after surgery compared to now…..yeah…….
progress is being made!
Hugs to Team Patch!
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!
It seems like it, before surgery really slept all the time and even though there are stumbles to see him doing his “job” as the warner of immenent strangers is so heartwarming.
I am excited for Friday to get here, that is when he gets his staples out!
